Job summary

Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway seeks a Sector Development Officer to work across communities in Dumfries and Galloway. You will be responsible for capacity building, governance support, and leading locality hubs within the Community Planning Partnership.

You will join a team that supports the third sector with online resources, training programmes, and targeted interventions, with hybrid working and some evenings required as needed.

Qualifications

• Evidence of third sector knowledge and community engagement experience.
• Strong organisational, planning and prioritising skills, with ability to design programme outcomes.
• Ability to build relationships and work with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver capacity building for third sector organisations across Dumfries and Galloway, focused on the locality.
• Provide direct advice, connections and signposting to third sector organisations as requested.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of the annual training programme and locality workshops.
• Create and maintain online and offline resources on governance, sustainability, planning and leadership.
• Develop and manage partnerships to support the third sector’s capacity.
• Chair the Locality Hub and contribute to Community Planning Partnership activities.
