The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is offering a tenure track position for a Section Viola, with employment commencing in the 2027/28 season, subject to mutual agreement between the employer and the selected candidate. Applications and audition deposits are due by August 28, 2026, with the submission system closing at 11:59 PM on that date. Preliminary and semi-final rounds of auditions are scheduled for November 7-9, 2026, followed by a final round on November 24, 2026. The repertoire for the auditions will be announced at a later date. All audition rounds will be conducted behind a screen to ensure fairness. The compensation for the 2026/27 season includes a winter season salary of $2,418.15 per week for 42 weeks, a summer season salary of $365 per week for 11 weeks, and a total supplemental compensation of $4,000 for the contract year.
