Job summary

Memorial Health System in Ohio seeks a Section Supervisor in diagnostic imaging to lead staff, coach technologists, and ensure continuous quality improvement and 100% patient safety and satisfaction. You will oversee section operations and ensure adherence to licensure and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities include directing patient procedures, training students and new employees, and acting in the Director's absence.

Qualifications

• Current radiologic licensure from the State of Ohio or WV license.
• Registered with ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS as required.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Job description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Section Supervisor is responsible for continuous quality improvement, providing 100% customer satisfaction and 100% quality by acting as a coach and facilitator for techs working the bench by evaluating and reviewing all work in the designated section; maintaining quality control within the section to include evaluating equipment, procedures and section staff; performing tests and operating equipment. Exhibits the Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.Job Functions:Under the direction of the Director, performs supervisory duties.Performs section (modality) specific patient procedures.Complies with State and Federal regulations and licensure requirements of modality.Direct and train students and new employees in maintenance, procedures and operation of equipment.Assume duties of the Director in his/her absence.Has the authority and responsibility to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline, direct, or recommend such actions by using independent judgment.Completes and conducts employee performance evaluations based on direct observation of their employee’s job performance.Granted authority to perform the supervisory duties and are held accountable for performing such duties.Maintains compliance in RQI.Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.Minimum Education/Experience Required:Current radiologic licensure from the State of Ohio Department of Health or if working in WV will need WV license and ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS registered required.Bachelor’s Degree preferred or actively in process of obtaining required.BLS certification required.Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the diagnostic imaging area.Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.Benefits: Memorial Health System is proud to offer an affordable, comprehensive benefit package to all full time and flex time employees.
