Job Responsibilities

• Leading a professional or technical discipline section in design, development, and delivery of project tasks, managing scope, budget, and quality control.
• Coordinating project priorities, staffing schedules, and staff assignments to ensure proper resource allocation.
• Providing technical coaching, mentoring, and ensuring efficient utilization of staff to deliver high-quality service.
• Supervising at least 5, typically 7-10 or more employees, directly and indirectly.
• Developing, monitoring, and managing the section's operating budget.
• Managing, growing, and developing the discipline-specific engineering section, including staff development, mentoring, and training.
• Supporting strategic planning, project pursuits, and implementing firm processes such as contracting and project delivery.
• Participating in marketing activities, maintaining client contacts, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Recruiting, hiring, and retaining staff, including performance reviews and succession planning.
• Managing project management activities such as scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and performing technical tasks like research, reports, and design.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of practical experience, including 2 years of leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 10 years of practical experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
