The Abilene Philharmonic is seeking candidates for Section Cello positions for the upcoming 2027-2028 season. Auditions will take place on October 23rd, 2026, at the Abilene Convention Center. Interested musicians must submit their applications by October 16th, 2026, and are required to pay a refundable $25 check deposit to secure their audition spot. The auditions will consist of two rounds, with the first round being screened to ensure a fair evaluation process.Candidates are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled audition time for check-in. They will be provided with a private practice space shortly before their audition. The order of auditions will be determined randomly, and candidates who do not check in on time may lose their audition slot and deposit.
