PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

To communicate with patients and provide administrative support for the practice.

Blanchard Valley Medical Practices is a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, serving over 100,000 households across eight counties.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Schedule and manage patient appointments using Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Manage the provider’s daily patient schedule.
  2. Accurately complete the registration process.
  3. Manage documents, patient referrals, prior authorizations, and benefits validation.
  4. Responsible for payment collection.
  5. Open and set up the office for the day. Stock office supplies.
  6. Maintain patient waiting area cleanliness.
  7. Enhance patient experience and uphold organizational values.
  8. Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency with technology and office equipment.
  • Willingness to work at different BVMP practices as needed.
  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adherence to workplace civility and privacy policies.
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
Physical Demands

This role involves a full range of motion, sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating machinery. Good vision and hearing are required for effective communication and safety.

This position is classified as “at risk” for potential occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
