Job summary

The University of Northern Iowa is seeking a part-time secretary to support the Educational Talent Search (ETS) Cedar Rapids program in Waterloo, IA. The role includes answering calls, typing correspondence, and maintaining records, with supervision of student staff and coordination of meetings and schedules.

Work hours are 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, 20 hours per week, at UNI-CUE in Waterloo. Candidate should have two years of clerical experience and word processing skills; pay

Job Description

Under general supervision, performs general secretarial duties for the Educational Talent Search (ETS) Cedar Rapids program; answers telephone to provide assistance to individuals interested in the program; supervises clerical student employees; composes and types correspondence; compiles materials for financial reports and records; maintains student and personnel records; arranges meetings and appointments; maintains inventory of office supplies and equipment; and performs other related duties as requested.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment and includes the use of word processing.
