Job Description
This position supports the PreK-8 Curriculum Coordinator and assists with student performance data reporting, coordinating the district digital curriculum library and providing operational support to the Curriculum Office.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Assisting the PreK-8 Curriculum Coordinator in various support tasks, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Multilingual Learners and Gifted and Talented students
- Communications to families regarding state and other student assessment results.
- Preparation for professional development activities.
- Student performance data from sources such as the Centralized Reporting System (Smarter Balanced and NGSS) and various online platforms.
- Textbook and instructional subscription management including curriculum-based software.
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings
- Creating and maintaining annual spreadsheets at the teacher/class, grade, building, and district levels for tracking key performance metrics, including elementary reading and math assessments. Periodic uploads of assessment data maintained in spreadsheets to the data warehouse.
- Generating requisitions and purchase orders for curriculum-related materials and services.
- Maintaining the district curriculum portal in both Google Shared Drive and Google Site formats.
- Performing additional duties in support of the Curriculum Office as assigned.
Qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled and responsible individual to support the Curriculum Office. The ideal candidate will:
- Be proficient with a wide range of software and platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, PowerSchool, MUNIS, and Connecticut State Department of Education tools.
- Possess a high school diploma and a minimum of four years of general office experience; a college degree is preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage special projects independently, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring attention to detail.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to self-edit, and a commitment to efficient and accurate task completion.
Receives task direction from the PreK-8 Curriculum Coordinator and the Assistant Superintendent.
Salary: In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Cheshire Educational Secretaries and Technicians United. Grade 4 Starting Salary $29.87/hour.
