We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Secretary I – ASC Manhasset – PREOP PACU. In this role, the successful candidate will perform secretarial and clerical duties to maintain and support the department. Duties include compiling information, answering telephones, preparing reports, maintaining department accounts; coordinating department activities, preparing and processing correspondence, agendas, and general papers; coordinating department computing and software resources. The candidate assists with the organization, maintenance, and flow of information throughout the department and serves as a liaison with other departments and staff.
To qualify you must have a High School diploma or GED, 1‑2 years secretarial experience, strong communication (both oral and written), multitasking, detail oriented, organizational, customer service, prioritization, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and office procedures.
Associate’s Degree in a related field, 1‑2 years prior related experience in a healthcare setting.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $41,473.45 – $61,744.63 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
