All Saints Parishseeks a motivatedSecretary/Bookkeeperto work with like-minded faculty and families inGladstone, MI. As Secretary/Bookkeeper you will provide administrative support to the parish office, including receptionist duties, recordkeeping, mail handling, financial tasks, data entry, and volunteer coordination. It also involves maintaining parish records, preparing financial documents, ensuring timely payroll and tax submissions, and supporting communication with diocesan staff and parishioners.

WHAT WE OFFER

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide receptionist services, including answering phones, taking messages, and greeting visitors.
  • Maintain parish records such as baptisms, marriages, funerals, and new parishioners.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including bulk mailings and distribution.
  • Manage filing systems and perform accurate data entry.
  • Prepare and process financial documents such as bank deposits, vouchers, and financial statements.
  • Maintain accountability for parish funds and ensure timely submission of payroll and taxes.
  • Register new parishioners and coordinate volunteer scheduling.
  • Provide computer support for accounting and census data.
  • Communicate and coordinate with diocesan staff to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Perform general clerical duties including typing, correspondence, and other tasks assigned by the pastor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • High school diploma isrequired.
  • Previous administrative, secretarial, or bookkeeping experiencepreferred.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer and typing skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge of Catholic parish life and Catholic Faith.
