KANAWHA COUNTY - 1 VACANCY

The Office of Nutrition Services (ONS) Operations Support Specialist provides fiscal (P-card holder), personnel (KRONOS Timekeeper) and travel (Primary Ghost Card holder and travel coordinator) administrative management. Performs office management duties for 28 staff, and administrative support to ONS Director, in matters which must remain confidential.

Responsible for dealing with the public and acting with authority on office management and administrative functions by talking with state partners and local program participants to explain procedural changes, clarify guidelines and answer general questions. Responsible for planning and implementing various strategies to boost employee morale and engagement, enhance employee satisfaction and foster a positive workplace culture. Organize team-building activities and events. Implement employee recognition and appreciation activities.

Qualifications

Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.

Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing clerical duties at the Office Assistant 2 level, including typing, which must have included screening and routing telephone calls and correspondence, and composing routine correspondence.

Substitution: College hours or related business school or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for up to two years of the required experience.
