Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL seeks a logistics professional to manage domestic and international traffic on site, coordinating shipments, DD250 submissions, and secure program forms to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in supply chain or logistics, familiarity with Transportation Management Systems, and the ability to obtain U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Project Management, Business Management, operations, or a Masters Degree with 3 years experience, or PhD with 1 year experience.
• Must have Supply Chain or Traffic or Shipping or Warehousing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S Government Secret Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs.
• Experience with the use of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) applications.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for domestic and international traffic operations on site, acting as the escalation path to address issues in program execution related to the GM&L Traffic operations on site, ensuring mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any risks related to GM&L’s execution
• Prepare and tender SOFO-10 for multiple programs and classified programs or other government forms
• Submit DD250’S to WAWF, and tender shipment utilizing DTMS, ITMS, and FedEx online application. Print approved DD250 and pair with original to be shipped after they are signed off by DCMA.
• Coordinate dedicated truck shipments as requested by various programs in addition to classified shipments
• Responds to client needs by answering e-mails, calls, tracking and moving shipments
• Monitors and ensures on-time pick-up and delivery
• Support Shipping/Receiving with unloading/loading of small packages when needed
• Provide support to import on uploading documents to the file repository
• Research and Resolve customer or supplier issues
• The ideal candidate will have strong customer service & problem-solving skills
• Other duties as required and assigned by manager
• Update training documents
• Scan work to remote teammates
• Print / match up documents for outbound shipments from remote employees
• Obtain required system access for SOW
• Staging and labeling small packages under 50lbs. on the shipping floor
