Job summary

Leidos in Suffolk, VA seeks a Targeting Effects Subject Matter Expert to lead planning, execution, and assessment for joint targeting and mission partner interoperability. You will drive data‑driven insights through DTA, AV&V events, and CIAV aligned targeting assessments.

The role requires expert analysis, modeling and simulation integration, and clear communication of findings to senior decision-makers. A Secret clearance and relevant military targeting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years related experience, or Master's degree and 4+ years related experience.
• Minimum 4 years supporting military operational activities; minimum 4 years Targeting experience.
• Experience with C5ISRT and Targeting.
• Experience developing target packages and target lists with detailed intelligence, capabilities and vulnerabilities.
• Experience in multi-domain mission planning and effects-based targeting.
• Experience with automated targeting tools (e.g. JTT, MIDB) and service fire control systems.
• Understanding of the F2T2EA Cycle and data tools used for targeting.
• Ability to analyze operational effectiveness of targeting systems.
• Knowledge of US, NATO, coalition targeting processes.

Responsibilities

• Targeting Operations - provide SME analyst support across planning, preparation, research, coordination, and execution of targeting activities.
• Analytical Product Development - deliver detailed analytical reports and executive briefings with findings, risks, and impacts.
• Test Planning & Execution - conduct testing activities and coordinate with external test organizations for rigorous validation.
• CIAV Targeting Support - support CIAV methodology and collaborate with Joint Staff DDC5I teams and Combatant Commands.
• Event Planning - act as SME for DTA and A&V events, executing research and data analysis.
• Modeling & Simulation Integration - incorporate modeling and simulation into event planning and analysis.
• Joint Targeting Expertise - provide expert knowledge across joint targeting processes and MEA, CDE, BDA, CA.
• Operational Data Analysis - analyze data to identify trends and support recommendations.
• Systems Development Support - assist with testing, evaluation, and development of new systems.
• Documentation & Training Development - maintain project documentation and training materials.
