Job summary

Delphinus is seeking skilled personnel for installation, repair, and overhaul of submarine and ship machinery in Norfolk, VA. You will work with mechanical systems, pumps, valves, and actuators, supporting project teams and ensuring compliance with technical manuals.

Candidates should have 3+ years in naval mechanical work, with submarine exposure preferred, and must read technical documents while adhering to safety regulations. This is a non-exempt, on-site position with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in mechanical/equipment installation, repair and overhaul on US Naval vessels or equivalent training.
• Submarine experience and familiarity with SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and LEVEL I systems preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret Technical Work Documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and overhaul machinery and mechanical systems.
• Perform inspections at system or component level per Project Manager directions.
• Assist welders and pipefitters with fit-up and installation of structural/piping components.
• Follow Technical Work Documents and drawings during work.
• Document inspections and work performed in relevant forms.
