Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Engineer – Azure Platform to design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions that meet federal standards.

This role requires 5+ years in cloud engineering/DevOps with Azure, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices. Onsite presence in the Washington, DC area is expected five days a week, with eligibility for a Top Secret

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret.
• Onsite in Washington, DC 5 days/week.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or systems administration, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure environments.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience using Terraform for IaC.
• 3+ years of experience using GitLab.
• Minimum of 4 years experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Azure Solutions Architect certification (preferred) or equivalent Azure certification.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, encryption, security monitoring, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, DoD).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps services.
• Experience in multi-cloud and hybrid environments integrating Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in Azure networking services (VNETs, DNS, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer/Application Gateway).
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, and YAML/JSON for cloud automation and system management.
