Job summary

Cherokee Strategic Solutions (CSS) is seeking an Operations/Site/Production Manager to provide day-to-day operational leadership at the NRC location and serve as acting Program Manager in the absence of the Program Manager. The role requires developing procedures, evaluating training needs, and delivering briefings to Government leadership.

The position expects at least three years of relevant management experience, a qualifying degree or PMP/Six Sigma credentials, and pre-employment

Qualifications

Three years of recent (last 5 years) overall project/operations/site/production management experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: program management, business or public administration, production/operations/manufacturing/quality management, technical management, information systems, engineering, or finance/accounting.
PMI PMP Certification allowed in lieu of educational requirements; Six Sigma Green Belt certification within 180 days of contract award.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Responsibilities

Act as the Program Manager in the Program Manager’s absence; address operational concerns and monitor customer satisfaction; develop and implement operational procedures and policies; analyze training needs.
Conduct fact finding for special projects, respond timely to Government inquiries, and present written/oral briefings to management officials.
Present oral briefings to Government oversight personnel.
Prepare SOPs and revisions with strong writing skills.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
