Job summary

Computational Physics, Inc. is seeking a GNSS Analyst or Mathematician to support customers at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. You will develop tools for monitoring the accuracy of GNSS data products and work closely with other team members in the Earth Orientation department.

Qualifications

  • At least six years of experience, this may include relevant work toward an advanced degree.
  • Candidate must obtain a SECRET clearance upon hiring.
  • Familiarity with orbit determination and parameter estimation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and algorithms for monitoring the validity and accuracy of GNSS data products.
  • Support the GPS Analysis Division of the EO Department at USNO.
  • Provide periodic updates to the GPS Analysis Division Chief.

Skills

Python programming in a Linux environment
Analysis of large datasets
Standard software development practices
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education

Degree in geodesy, geophysics, physics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related field
