Job summary

Plateau is seeking a highly skilled Front-End Software Developer for mission-critical operations with the United States Air Force in San Antonio. You will lead front-end development, UI design, and agile practices to deliver secure, user-friendly interfaces that meet stringent DoD requirements.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, a related degree, active clearance, and strong expertise in modern frontend ecosystems (Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD, and security tooling).<\/p>

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development/engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s may substitute for 2 years).
• Active secret or interim clearance.
• Proficiency in object-oriented and scripting languages.
• Experience with DevSecOps, microservices, and containerization.
• 3+ years of experience with Jira, testing web apps, frontend design and development.
• 5+ years with Jenkins and GitLab; familiarity with CI/CD tools like SonarQube, Fortify, JUnit5, Ansible, esbuild.
• Experience with Agile, user-centric design, wireframes, and UX tools (Sketch, InVision).
• Cloud-based development and secure data integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert front-end development and UI design guidance.
• Analyze, plan, and develop requirements documents and functional models.
• Create wireframes and mockups for stakeholder review.
• Design and optimize GUIs for usability and performance.
• Promote user-centric design and UI/UX standards.
• Conduct tests to verify operability and compliance.
• Collaborate in Agile environments and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Support DoD-compliant toolchains and DevSecOps practices.
