Job summary

Mount Indie seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Sales Engineering team in the Washington DC region, with potential for Tampa and travel. You will integrate the GenAI platform into customer workflows, build new functionalities, deploy production-grade code, and support customers on-site, in hybrid, or remote modes.

The role requires excellent Python, AI/ML expertise, cloud familiarity (AWS GovCloud), API integrations, and strong communication with government and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL.
• Hands on experience with LLMs, NLP, and related AI technologies solving real problems.
• Proven experience with MEAN Stack and full stack development in TypeScript.
• Experience with Angular and developing web applications.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitLab.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and/or federal environment experience.
• Ability to interact with APIs and integrate software with business processes.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and security principles.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders, travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to integrate the GenAI platform into their processes.
• Build new functionalities and enhancements to meet customer needs.
• Ensure deployment and initial configuration, then transition to long-term team.
• Engage with customers in-person, hybrid, or remote formats as required.
• Conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations and communicate platform value.
• Develop deep understanding of platform capabilities and limitations.
• Provide technical consulting and support through integration and deployment.
• Rapidly build features and collaborate with core product team.
• Document requirements and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Travel occasionally to customer locations across the United States.
