Job summary

Firebird AST is seeking a Secret-cleared Forensic Accountant Auditor to support DHS OIG investigations, analyzing complex financial records, bank statements, and related financial information to support fraud investigations.

The role will involve discussions with Federal Agents, US Attorneys, and other stakeholders, producing analytic reports, and assisting with affidavits, subpoenas, and investigative steps.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Certification
• 7 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or auditing for Federal investigations
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field

Responsibilities

• Provide forensic auditing and analytic reports for investigations and testimony
• Participate in planning with case agents and task forces to identify fraud schemes
• Provide input to affidavits and subpoenas and suggest investigative steps
• Analyze financial and tax records and other data to identify fraud
• Compile and analyze complex financial records to support investigations
• Support on-site forensic financial analysis as needed
• Build financial profiles to identify fraud and money-laundering patterns
• Review law enforcement databases and open-source records for procurement and finance data
