Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electromechanical systems on ships and in shop environments. The role requires safety and quality focus, independence, and ability to travel as needed.

You will troubleshoot, validate systems, follow schematics and procedures, perform field service, and implement modifications. A minimum of six years on a ship performing electrical work is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical systems.
• Able to read and follow schematics and detailed procedures.
• Experience conducting field service activities and on-site diagnostics.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, overhaul, and modify electrical/electromechanical systems and components.
• Troubleshoot system and component issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Follow technical procedures and schematics to perform electrical operations accurately.
• Support system checkouts, configuration validation, and grooming activities.
• Assist with field service on-site diagnostics and minor repairs.
• Prepare and install system or equipment modifications per specifications.
• Conduct evaluations and testing of electrical systems in shipboard or shop environments.

• Follow detailed technical procedures, schematics, and work instructions to complete electrical operations accurately
• Support system checkouts, "grooming", and configuration validation efforts
• Assist with field service activities, including on-site diagnostics and minor repairs
• Prepare and install system or equipment modifications in accordance with technical specifications
• Conduct evaluations and testing of electrical systems and components in shipboard or shop environments
• Required minimum of 6 years of experience on a ship doing electrical work
