Job summary

SMX in Patuxent River, MD is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to support CM activities across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments. The role requires an active Secret clearance and hands‑on experience with baselines, CCBs, audits, status accounting, and CM tools.

You will work with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and leadership to ensure configuration integrity, proper evaluation, documentation, approval, and implementation of changes, delivering timely CM status and

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 3–5 years in configuration management or related technical discipline.
• Experience performing CM activities in engineering environments.
• Experience with CM change processes (CCB, ECP) or similar.
• Familiarity with SharePoint/OneDrive/DodSAFE for documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain CM plans, policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Perform CM activities across full configuration lifecycle (identification, change control, status accounting, verification, auditing).
• Maintain configuration records and track change requests and documentation.
• Support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
• Coordinate CM activities across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments.
• Provide timely CM status, metrics, and reporting to leadership.
