Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer II with a Secret clearance to design, implement, and maintain the security infrastructure for SDA programs. You will protect networks, servers, and applications, and ensure compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, policy enforcement, and cross‑functional collaboration with IT and development teams. Base pay is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Active Secret security clearance required on hire.
• 2+ years of system security engineering experience.
• 8140 Intermediate or Advanced certification (Security+/CISSP etc.).
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid environments.
• U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for IT infrastructure.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and pentests.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor security systems and respond to incidents with remediation.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into SDLC.
• Stay current with security trends and propose improvements.
