Job summary

J.F. Taylor, Inc. seeks a CAD drafter to develop and update electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical docs for modeling and simulation systems and manufacturing packages.

You will use AutoCAD to create system-level drawings, cable assemblies, and related illustrations, while collaborating with engineers to update documents per requirements. DoD and Naval installation experience are highly valued. Competitive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience using AutoCAD to develop, modify, and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Translate engineering concepts and redlines into accurate CAD drawings for engineering and manufacturing.
• Work closely with engineers to develop and update drawings, system docs, and parts lists.
• DoD/government program experience or classified-space familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for modeling and simulation systems and manufacturing packages.
• Create system-level drawings, cable assemblies, forklifting? - ( corrected to CAD work) Create electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, assemblies and related illustrations using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to modify and maintain drawings per requirements and design changes.
• Incorporate redline changes and field updates into controlled drawing packages and CM systems.
• Support documentation for modeling and simulation hardware, interfaces, and system configurations.
• Research part information and maintain parts lists using Microsoft Excel.
