Job summary

Centurum seeks a Drafter and CAD Operator in Charleston, SC to create and modify technical drawings for NIWC programs. You will develop shipboard and shore-based installation drawings using AutoCAD, 2D/3D models, and linked Excel tables from manuals and DoD specs.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years drafting experience, familiarity with DoD procedures, an HS diploma or GED with AutoCAD certification, and an active Secret clearance. In-person work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of drafting/illustrating experience in electronics.
• Familiarity with DoD processes and procedures.
• HS diploma or GED and AutoCAD (or equivalent) drafting certification; an Associate’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify technical drawings supporting NIWC government programs in Charleston, SC.
• Develop shipboard and shore-based installation drawings including equipment arrangements, elevations, mounting and assembly details.
• Create new AutoCAD files from drawings and manuals; link Excel tables to AutoCAD.
• Work within a drafting team to complete large-scale projects; ensure adherence to military standards.
