Job summary

PGTEK is seeking an experienced Storage Systems Engineer to support a long-term federal program in storage, SAN, and BURA environments. The role requires an active Secret clearance and a strong track record with modern storage platforms.

You will maintain highly available storage infrastructure, back up critical data, and collaborate with virtualization, security, and server teams to ensure mission success across listed sites in Mechanicsburg, Ogden, and other locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise storage environments.
• Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN), Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery technologies (BURA).
• Experience administering one or more enterprise backup platforms (Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Dell NetWorker, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity).
• Experience supporting VMware vSphere or similar virtualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise SAN infrastructure.
• Manage enterprise backup and recovery (BURA) solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise storage systems.
• Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Configure and maintain storage replication, snapshots, cloning, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor system health and resolve storage and backup issues.
• Support virtualization and server teams with storage connectivity and performance optimization.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, patching, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and configuration standards.
• Participate in on‑call support as required.
• Ensure compliance with federal security policies and standards.
