SecOps T1/Account Admin

Location: Remote with a high preference for candidates local to the DC, MD, VA area

Citizenship Required: US Citizen

Clearance Type: Secret

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

We are seeking a highly motivated, customer‑oriented SecOps T1/Account Admin to join our team. This role focuses on monitoring security alerts, managing user access, and assisting with incident response under guidance from senior staff. To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required. This is a funded position and is contingent upon verification of a security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape.

Primary Duties

• Monitor security alerts and elevate incidents according to established procedures.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and authentication requests.
• Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees from systems and applications.
• Support security operations by documenting incidents, tracking tickets, and generating reports.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce policies and compliance requirements.
• Learn and apply security best practices, tools, and processes under supervision.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to build technical expertise.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or 2 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 1+ years of experience in a related role.
• Ability to work independently, multi‑task, and communicate effectively.
• US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance.
• Basic understanding of user account management, authentication, and security principles.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools, ticketing systems, or enterprise applications is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
