Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with any secondary subject endorsement, multiple endorsements preferred.
• Possess a valid Secondary Michigan Teaching Certificate.
• Prefer teaching experience at the Secondary level.
• Prefer online course participation experience.
• Demonstrated successful experience utilizing technology as an instructional tool.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve common technical computer use issues.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with at-risk youth.
• Demonstrated successful communication skills with various stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success as a collaborator and proven team player.
• Knowledge of Michigan Grade Level and High School Content Expectations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individualized online courses for credit recovery.
• Enroll students in and navigate Edgenuity course management.
• Monitor student achievement via online reports.
• Coach and encourage students toward successful course completion.
• Manage student behavior independently.
