Job summary

Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Cadence Campus in Henderson, NV seeks a Secondary Special Education Teacher to develop and implement IEPs, deliver differentiated instruction, and ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations. This in-person, 10-month role reports to the Campus Principal and collaborates with general education staff and families to promote student growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in inclusive and/or pull-out settings.
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure access to the curriculum and effective accommodations.
Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate student achievement and adjust instruction.
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records and documentation.
Implement behavior intervention plans and support social-emotional learning strategies.
Work with related service providers to support student goals.
Communicate regularly with families about student progress and educational needs.
Maintain compliance with timelines and documentation required by law and CASLV policies.
Engage in ongoing professional development in special education best practices.
