Education/Experience/Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university and possess or be eligible to acquire appropriate license(s) and/or endorsement(s) in the area posted as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia and School Board.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, teachers, school administrators, central office staff, parents, and community representatives. Must possess the ability to work under pressure and effectively plan, organize and coordinate work independently. Must be adaptable to changing priorities and be able to successfully complete multiple assignmentssimultaneously.
General Definition of Work:
Under direction of the school principal, plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences for students. Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure success for every student. Supervise students in a variety of school related settings. Monitor and evaluate student outcomes. Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff and community. Develop, select and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Maintain appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices. Monitor appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities.
