Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a School Counselor (Secondary) for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. The role focuses on delivering a comprehensive counseling program aligned with ASCA standards and AACPS goals, dedicating about 80% of time to direct student, family, and staff services.

The counselor will support academic and career planning, promote educational equity, collaborate with administrators and teachers, and participate in district initiatives to improve student outcomes and graduation

Qualifications

• Masters degree in education or related field required.
• Three semester hours CPD credits in special education coursework required.
• Experience with virtual learning technology or remote instruction platforms is preferred if assigned to Virtual Academy.

Responsibilities

• Implements a data-driven, planned, sequential, and developmental school counseling program.
• Provides direct services to students and families for the majority of time.
• Connects program outcomes to AACPS and School Improvement Plans.
• Delivers counseling across academic, social/emotional, and career domains using multiple modalities.
