STEM School Highlands Ranch is seeking a dynamic Secondary Physical Education Teacher to join our team. This role focuses on promoting wellness, teamwork, and lifelong fitness among middle and high school students.

The candidate will plan engaging lessons, ensure a safe learning environment, and collaborate with staff to support student success. A bachelor’s degree and PE licensure are required, with LMS and Google tools experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid state teaching license with endorsement in Physical Education.
• Experience with LMS and Google tools preferred.

Position Overview:

STEM School Highlands Ranch is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Secondary Physical Education Teacher to join our team of educators committed to fostering a culture of wellness, teamwork, and lifelong fitness. This individual will play a vital role in promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among middle and/or high school students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with state and national standards
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students
• Promote student development in physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship
• Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success
• Supervise students in various settings, including the gym, field, and during school events

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Valid state teaching license with appropriate endorsement in Physical Education
• Highly qualified content knowledge in secondary-level Physical Education
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and Google tools preferred
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience preferred

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting of 5 to 50 pounds

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
