Job summary

Comal ISD seeks a Secondary Curriculum Coordinator - Math to provide curriculum leadership and support classroom teaching in New Braunfels, TX. Immediate starting date. Lead district instructional programs, coordinate curriculum and assessments, and guide staff development for Math and related subjects.

You will collaborate with campus leaders, attend conferences, and help ensure evidence-based instructional practices that improve outcomes for all students, including disadvantaged learners.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation.
• Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness.
• Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and expertise in the overall instructional program of the District.
• Remain current in curriculum and staff development through conferences and research.
• Conduct meetings with district and campus instructional leaders for feedback and input.
• Serve on advisory committees and planning teams.
• Collaborate with instructional coordinators and campus coaches to align PK-12 curriculum and standards.
• Coordinate development and revision of district-wide curriculum based on standards.
• Coordinate textbook evaluation and material adoption processes.
• Ensure evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions for disadvantaged students.
• Plan staff development aligned with district initiatives and Title I goals.
• Develop campus experts through staff development and coaching.
• Analyze student data to assess PD needs and program effectiveness.
• Coordinate professional development for content-area teachers and departments.
• Provide support to novice and struggling teachers with coaching and demonstrations.
• Coordinate district-wide assessments and ensure alignment with the assessment plan.
• Represent the district at meetings, committees, and conferences.
