Job summary

Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is seeking an SY 26-27 Engineering Classroom Teacher (Secondary) to provide learning experiences for each student in the class. The role reports to the Principal and follows the district salary schedule; 190 work days per year.

Starting date is To Be Determined. The teacher must hold a Bachelor's degree and a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Engineering, with advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Advanced degrees preferred.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Teach at an appropriate instructional level and provide content development.
• Assess and encourage student progress and engagement.
• Manage the learning environment and maintain classroom behavior.
• Coordinate virtual duties and communicate deadlines to students and parents.
• Follow district policies and maintain accurate records and files.
