Job summary

Española Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Secondary Social Studies teacher to deliver standards-based instruction aligned with New Mexico content standards and district curriculum. You will foster critical thinking, civic responsibility, and college/career readiness in students across history and government courses.

The role requires NM teaching licensure with endorsements for the assigned content areas, bilingual endorsement when applicable, strong classroom management, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) Teaching License with endorsements for the assigned content area(s) and grade level(s).
• Properly endorsed and certified in all assigned subject areas.
• Bilingual Endorsement preferred and/or required based upon assignment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned to NM Content Standards and district expectations.
• Teach secondary subject areas using district-approved curriculum and resources.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' academic, linguistic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
