Job summary

Carlsbad Early College High School seeks an on-site educator to implement district curriculum and foster student success in academics and interpersonal skills. You will document progress and outcomes, address individual learning needs, and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment.

You will also provide timely feedback to students, parents, and administration on progress, expectations, and goals, while collaborating with the principal and school team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid New Mexico teaching license with endorsements as needed.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate.
• Pass a background check.

Position Purpose

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1. As established by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
• 2. A bachelor's degree.
• 3. A valid New Mexico teaching license with endorsements as needed.
• 4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate.
• 5. Be able to pass a background check.
