INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CHARTER MIDDLE SCHOOL seeks a Secondary Bilingual School Counselor to improve the social and academic functioning of students and their families. The role supports at-risk youths, conducts sessions, and coordinates with parents and school staff to promote well-being and school success.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Counseling and/or Social Work, a minimum of three years of experience, and proficiency in English/Spanish.

• Master's degree in Counseling and/or Social Work required.
• Minimum of three years of experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, parents and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Interview and counsel at-risk youths; develop and maintain service plans with short- and long-term goals.
• Schedule and facilitate individual and group sessions; conduct leadership/conflict resolution workshops.
• Maintain records, attendance, and case logs; prepare reports.
• Counsel students showing behavioral, academic, or mental health needs; arrange for services.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and staff to identify causes of problems and implement solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CHARTER MIDDLE SCHOOL

SECONDARY BILINGUAL SCHOOL COUNSELOR

The Bilingual Social Worker/Counselor will provide services and assistance to improve the

social and psychological functioning of students and their families to maximize well-being

and academic functioning. The Social Worker/Counselor will assist parents and students

at the International Leadership Charter Middle School to achieve social and academic

goals.

Key Duties:

• Interview and counsel at risk youths, develop and maintain service plans; including long-term and short-term goals.
• Schedule and facilitate individual and group sessions. Facilitate weekly leadership/conflict resolution workshops with participants. Incorporate leadership and conflict resolution curricula into individual and group sessions.
• Maintain records and prepare reports. Maintain daily attendance, registration and case referral logs.
• Counsel students whose behavior, school progress, or mental or physical impairment indicate a need for assistance, diagnosing students' problems and arranging for needed services.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and other school personnel to determine causes of problems such as truancy and misconduct, and to implement solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counseling and/or Social Work
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience
• Previous case management, assessment, counseling and crisis intervention preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Strong communication skills required and strong interpersonal skills to work with school, students, parents and community-based agencies.
• Professional clinical experience with students and their families and a commitment to working with parents and students as partners in education.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation will be commensurate with level of experience and a record of

demonstrated success. We are seeking an individual of outstanding quality with a track

record of positive outcomes. The International Leadership Charter Middle School is

prepared to offer a compensation package commensurate with experience, to include a

competitive base salary as well as health, dental, vision and 401K

• Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00
