Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with game techniques and strategies to prepare athletes for competition.
• Maintain inventory of athletic equipment and facilities and ensure locker rooms are organized and clean.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid techniques and respond appropriately to injuries.
• Follow directions from Head Coach and Principal and support the coaching staff as needed.

Job description

Title: Community Coach

Clarkston High School is seeking a motivated Community Coach, Dance, who has a passion for working with high school students. The ideal candidate should have excellent instructional delivery skills and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach in the sport that you express an interest. Candidate must be willing to assist the Head Coach in game techniques and strategies to prepare them for competition, determine the need for individual or team improvement, and accept directions from the Head Coach at all times. A Lay Coach will be required to assist with maintaining inventory of athletic equipment, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of first aid techniques, and maintaining locker room and playing facilities.

Community Coaches are temporary positions and must be renewed annually.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Permits

• Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required.
• Valid certificate in first aid required.
