Job summary

Ironwood Area Schools is seeking applicants for one (1) Full-Time, Secondary (7-12) School Counselor for the 2026-2027 school year. The counselor will provide a comprehensive guidance and counseling program addressing the social, emotional, educational and occupational needs of all students.

Start Date: Beginning of 2026-27 School Year. Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Guidance & Counseling with SCL, School Counseling Endorsement on a valid Michigan teaching certificate, and

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Guidance & Counseling is required and a valid SCL.
• Endorsement on a Michigan Teaching Certificate is required.
• PEASC or Temporary School Counselor Authorization (TSCA) with pursuit of SCL/NT is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive guidance and counseling program addressing social, emotional, educational and occupational needs of all students.
• Support a positive school climate and student welfare through counseling services.

IRONWOOD AREA SCHOOLS is seeking applicants for one (1) Full-Time, Secondary (7-12) School Counselor for the 2026-2027 school year. School Counselors provide a comprehensive guidance and counseling program designed to address the social, emotional, educational and occupational needs of all students.

Start Date:

Beginning of 2026-27 School Year

Qualifications:

• – Master’s Degree in Guidance & Counseling with School Counselor License (SCL)
• – School Counseling Endorsement on a Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
• – Preliminary Employment Authorization to work as a School Counselor (PEASC) or Temporary School Counselor Authorization (TSCA) with the expectation that the SCL or NT will be attained promptly
• – or Meets MDE Criteria for Out-of-State Applicants or is able to obtain the same
• – Two years of successful School Counseling experience preferred
