Job summary

Request Foods in Holland, MI is seeking a Yard Switcher Operator (Level 5) for the 2nd shift. You will move trailers, perform yard checks, refuel, and assist with forklift operations while following safety rules.

The role requires a valid CDL A (or ability to obtain within 3 months), forklift certification, and strong math/English skills. Entry pay is $24.00/hour including a $1 shift premium, with a 3:00 pm start time and variable end time.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL A or obtain certification within 3 months.
• Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Proficient math and adequate English communication to understand written and spoken instructions.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a yard switcher, with or without a trailer, to move trailers in and out of docks or around the shipping/receiving docks.
• Perform yard checks on trailers (temperature checks, fuel levels, security seals) and complete necessary paperwork.
• Refuel refrigerated trailers as necessary.
• Assist in ensuring safe operation of yard switcher trucks, lift trucks, and order pickers following safety rules and regulations.
• When needed, operate fork truck to load/unload trailers and assist in storage and order picking.
