Job summary

Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. is seeking a Yard Spotter in Fort Wayne, IN, for second shift. You will operate a terminal tractor to move, position, and park semi-trailers to keep loading docks clear and ready for loading and unloading of product.

Responsibilities include coordinating with warehouse staff, documenting trailer movements, and performing pre/post-trip inspections while following DOT and OSHA guidelines. A high school diploma and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
• Must have ability to write reports.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver loaded and empty trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and parking zones.
• Coordinate trailer movements with warehouse personnel and maintain organized yard.
• Maintain clear communication, report yard issues, and provide shift change briefings.
• Maintain records of trailer movements and report any damage or issues.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment (fluids, lights, tires).
• Organize the lot, track trailer locations, and ensure safe, orderly traffic flow.
