Job summary

Technique, Inc. is seeking a Welder for our Jackson, MI facility. This role primarily uses MIG/TIG welding with Lincoln equipment to weld stainless and carbon steel, while supporting QA with layouts and inspections using GD&T and prints.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in an industrial setting, AWS certification, and the ability to read blueprints and CMM reports. Robotic welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• AWS Certification is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T notation.
• Experience with robotic welders and troubleshooting builds using CMM reports is important.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld using MIG/TIG welding equipment to weld mild steel joints.
• Assemble exhaust assemblies, racks, and prototyping fixtures.
• Perform first piece layouts and troubleshoot builds using CMM reports.
• Maintain accurate job documentation for all production runs.
• Load and run robot welder and perform repairs as needed on assemblies.
• Investigate and correct issues found during builds and inspections.
• Ensure products meet internal customer requirements per CMM reports, blueprints, and AWS specs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Welding Manager.
