Dayton Area School Consortium in Ohio seeks a Second Shift Substitute Custodian to support cleaning, maintenance and safety of the school building. Flexible hours and part-time status provide coverage after school and during events, with duties across cleaning, restocking, and light maintenance.
The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read MSDS, work well in a team, and pass a background check. Ohio driver’s license is required.

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance or Designee

QUALIFICATIONS:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for performing custodial work required for the routine care, maintenance, cleaning, protection, and preservation of the assigned building/building space, its contents, and grounds. Maintaining the building (or building space) in a clean, attractive, healthy, and safe condition.

ADDITIONAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
OCCASIONAL: Exposure to inclement weather driving conditions and severe weather, traffic, loud noise, unruly children/adults; attends functions or performs duties outside normal working hours; exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue. Light lifting, up to 50 pounds.
PERIODIC: Exposure to inclement weather driving conditions and severe weather, heavy equipment, unruly children/adults; exposure to common childhood illnesses.
FREQUENT: Exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue. Prolonged periods of standing and lifting (10-20 pounds). Bending, stooping and reaching.
