Job summary

Grand Rapids For Christ (GRCS) Iroquois is seeking a second-shift custodian for the school year to support custodial staff and ensure a clean, safe environment for students and staff. The role involves working with community guests and maintaining a pleasant, service-oriented attitude.

The position is part-time (20–30 hours/week) with flexible hours to be determined. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and follow safety practices while collaboratively supporting the building’s

Responsibilities

Layout and organize work with minimal supervision.
Dust, mop, sweep, damp and wet mop floors, vacuum.
Clean stairs, hallways, corridors, walls, outside steps, windowsills, and other designated areas.
Clean Venetian blinds, radiators, grills, vents, fixtures and handrails.
Clean restrooms, fixtures, mirrors, and replenish soap and paper goods.
Set up and break down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings.
Work well with students and adults while completing custodial tasks.
View self as a member of a team.
Lift and move equipment/furnishings up to 50 pounds.
React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
