Job summary

Emerald Technologies in Saline, MI is seeking a Quality Associate for second shift to perform a wide range of quality inspection tasks in a manufacturing environment. The role requires understanding ISO and customer requirements, creating inspection plans, and documenting results with accuracy.

Responsibilities include supporting the Quality Management System, researching part numbers, and updating QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player and detailed oriented.
• Must be willing to learn new skills, have mature work habits, and good communication, including reading and writing skills.
• Knowledge of PCB assemblies, soldering, and blueprint reading is a must.
• Read and understand customer and company documentation.
• Excellent reasoning skills, soldering knowledge, and ability to use inspection and measuring instruments such as microscopes, digital calipers, pin gauges, and ruler

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance II supports the Quality Management System by performing inspection processes which determine acceptance of products or components, visually and or with the use of inspection tools (i.e.. Microscopes, X-ray, AOI)
• Quality Assurance II is required to research component part numbers and check or inspect inventory
• Assists, develops, or modifies, QA procedures related to department processes, or product quality
• Daily activities may also include PCB stuffing, soldering of wires, soldering thru-hole and SMT components, masking, mechanical assembly, go no-go testing, component set up, machine set up, programming and operation, training, and in line inspection of work performed
• Performs other duties as assigned. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
