Shift

Monday-Thursday 4:30 pm to 2:00 am. Fridays are often used to catch up on work and may be mandatory. A 48-hour notice will be provided for scheduled work, with shorter notice possible for volunteer hours. The schedule on Friday varies.

Position Summary

To form parts correctly and independently according to specifications and company standards by performing the following functions:

Essential Functions

• Analyze blueprints/drawings, specifications, sketches, work orders, and MSDS to plan layout, assembly, and forming operations.
• Set up and adjust equipment.
• Perform efficient forming of various metal objects, including heavy and light gauge carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Report non-conforming material immediately to the Team Leader or Shop Foreman.
• Use various hand and power tools.
• Input and maintain data in ERP system/Global.
• Complete required paperwork/job sheets.
• Maintain excellent attendance and work overtime as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Press Brake and blueprint experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency with calipers, protractors, tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square.
• Ability and willingness to follow directions and work independently.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Minimum 1 year of press brake experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Leadership skills are a plus.
• A fundamentals test will be part of the application process.

Physical Demands

• Continuous use of hands, arms, legs, and whole-body movements like climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
• Must lift and maneuver up to 40 lbs without restrictions.
• Able to stand for at least ten hours daily.
• This is a 40-hour/week job with potential overtime.
