Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Plant Maintenance / Ground Person for the second shift to support crushing and screening operations in Torrance. The role requires mechanical aptitude, safety focus, and the ability to work outdoors during 4pm–2am hours, with some Saturdays during the crushing season.

You will perform lubrication, part replacements, equipment inspections, and routine repairs on crushers, screens, and conveyors, while maintaining safe access and accurate maintenance

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with team to optimize plant operations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities.
• Inspect and diagnose crushers, screens, and conveyors.
• Lubricate bearings and perform routine maintenance.
• Replace bearings, shafts, belts, motors, and other components.
• Operate and observe plant equipment to identify issues.
• Assist as Haul Truck Operator as needed.
