Job summary

Faxon Machining, Inc. is seeking a Phosphate & Paint Technician for 2nd shift to support coating, plating, and assembly operations.

The role involves following prints and quality plans, maintaining coating weights, and operating related paint equipment and safety procedures. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent (or related experience), zinc phosphate coating training, paint equipment training, and the ability to perform fit tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 6 months related experience.
• Ability to read and understand prints, routers and quality plans.
• Zinc phosphate coating training required.
• Paint equipment training required.
• Fit test required.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Clean parts in accordance with TT-C-490.
• Maintain coating weights per MIL-DTL-16232 and work instructions.
• Cycle, maintain, reset timers for baths and bakes.
• Operate and maintain paint equipment and tools.
• Troubleshoot coating issues; touch up and rework of paint and phosphate.
• Maintain chemical stock levels.
• Operate crane and forklift as required.
• Document, certify and serialize assemblies.
• Maintain quality within the routed cycle time.
• E2 documentation - daily time reporting.
• Carry out all other duties as assigned.
• Assemble components per print for weld.
