Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of certified phlebotomy program preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Phlebotomy externship or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures accurately and within established turn-around times.
• Transports specimens to the laboratory and ensures timely processing.
• Maintains specimen integrity and proper labeling.
• Answers calls and provides courteous information.
• Documents specimens and testing requirements per policy.
• Adheres to safety standards and HIPAA privacy rules.
• Participates in continuing education and training.
