Job summary

Teva Pharmaceuticals in Edison is seeking a Packaging Operator to operate packaging line equipment, stage materials, and ensure compliance with cGMP, DEA, OSHA, and safety standards. You will follow SOPs, document batch records, train others, and support continuous improvement in a union environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in FDA-regulated packaging, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and reading/writing English. Shift work with weekend coverage may apply; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in FDA regulated packaging environment preferred.
• Proficient in navigating packaging equipment and HMIs.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended shifts.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area per SOPs and safety rules.
• Execute packaging operations according to approved documentation.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot packaging process issues.
• Perform equipment cleaning, change parts, and line clearance.
• Document batch records, room logs, and verification checks.
• Stage and transfer packaging materials and bulk products.
• Verify components against batch records and protocols.
• Stack finished goods on pallets and transfer to warehouse.
• Operate palletizer and pallet jack safely.
• Assist with line changes and support packaging technicians.
• Comply with cGMP, DEA, OSHA, and company policies.
